Today we step into April, Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month. This is certainly not the way many of us pictured it, but humor and creativity can help us adapt to this COVID-19 reality. In this spirit, CEA is celebrating in a few ways, and we hope you’ll join us.
- We’re joining the Big Library Read of “Funny, You Don’t Look Autistic: A Comedian’s Guide to Life on the Spectrum.” Download an e-book and join CEA’s Zoom Happy Hour Discussion on Monday, April 13 from 4:30-6:00 pm.
- We’re running a donation drive to bolster ongoing efforts and new innovations to meet families where they are. Donate to receive a thank-you gift, including a beautiful book, Faces of Autism by Tera Girardin.
- We’ll have a special Oxygen Mask Podcast on cultivating a strengths-based mindset in ourselves as parents and encouraging our children to embrace and celebrate their differences and strengths.
- We’re posting new videos to our YouTube Channel on parenting in this pandemic, sensory outlets, social engagement, and more!
Explore these flexible opportunities! As always, please share what you find insightful and delightful.
